Elisabeth is a Counselling Psychologist with over 17 years of experience of working in a variety of therapeutic settings within the NHS. This has been working with adults, in community teams, specialist psychological therapies service, a therapeutic community and a psychotherapy department. She has also worked for the Social Services in a family centre, with children and families. In addition she has several years of experience of working with post graduate psychology trainees in a supervisor role in a university. She has been involved in developing and leading services within these settings and has extensive experience in supervisory roles for teams, groups and individuals.
Following her professional qualification, she has undertaken further courses and training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, group analysis, couples work and supervision. She has further specialisations in number of therapeutic models including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT ) psychodynamic therapy, mentalization based therapy (MBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
Her special interests include relationship difficulties, personality disorder, loss, depression, anxiety and panic, postnatal depression, couples and group work.
