We are all chartered psychologists, and are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and are members of the British Psychological Society (BPS). This means that we are qualified to undertake psychological assessments and therapy (talking treatments), but do not prescribe medical treatments such as medication. It also means that we adhere to the professional and ethical standards of the HCPC (www.hcpc-uk.org) and BPS. If you would like more information about the profession and standards of practice, you may wish to look up the BPS website (www.bps.org.uk).
We have extensive experience in adult mental health both within the NHS and the private sector. We offer one to one and couple therapy.
We use a variety of therapeutic models, for example cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mentalization based therapy, dynamic interpersonal therapy, EMDR and mindfulness. This means that we are able to meet the individual needs of the person, which may mean drawing on more than one form of therapy.
